ACCESSORIAL CHARGES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Overtime Charges:
Straight Time:                           8:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday

Overtime, Add 50%:                 6:00pm-12:00 Midnight Monday through Friday
                                                    6:00am-8:00am Monday through Friday
                                                    8:00am-6:00pm Saturday

Overtime, Add 100%                12:00 Midnight - 6:00am Monday through Saturday
                                                     6:00pm Saturday - 6:00am Monday and Holidays

Detention/Waiting Time Charges:
Shipments up to 2000 pounds (Applies to Cars, Pick-Ups and Vans only) $7.75 per 15 minute period or fraction thereof. Shipments exceeding 2000 pounds (Applies to Cube Trucks, Straight Trucks and Tractor-Trailers only) $10.50 per 15 minute period or fraction thereof.

Free time allotted prior to application of detention charges:

Every effort should be made to have drivers loaded and unloaded as soon as possible. Time begins when driver presents himself/herself to shipper or consignee.

COD Charges:
$5.00 per shipment - Absolutely no cash COD's.

Liftgate Service/Hand Load or Unload Service:
$25.00 per shipment.

Residential Deliveries:
$2.50 per shipment.

Inside Deliveries:
Shipment exceeding 500 pounds or requiring the use of a truck $1.25 per 100# (minimum $9.95)

Wrong Address or Extra Stop (through no fault of United Express)
$1.40 per mile (minimum $9.95) Note: This can also be used to charge for intermediate stops while en route to other deliveries.

Attempted Pick-Up (through no fault of United Express System):
1/2 of total charges quoted (minimum $9.95)

Attempted Delivery (through no fault of United Express System):
Full price quoted plus re-delivery charge or return charge calculated from United Express System Terminal facility.

Return or Refused Shipment Charges:
Full charges on services requested.

Declared Value Charges:
All shipments up to 500 pounds are automatically covered for a maximum of $100.00. Declaration of value exceeding $100.00 must be claimed by customer at time of order placement and confirmed in writing on company letterhead prior to shipment pick-up. Insurance charges on declared values exceeding $100.00 will be charged at $0.50 per $100.00 of declared value.

Weather and Traffic Related Delays:
United Express System will not be responsible for delays caused by weather or traffic conditions as long as all reasonable measures are taken to ensure prompt delivery.
